Emerging Studios

Date: Friday, June 8

With Peak TV infinitely expanding the options for networks and platforms, the “”backend”” of television is shifting more than ever towards the importance of “”content ownership.”” Historically, there have been major independent studios (Sony, Warner Brothers), and network-based studios (20th Century Fox, ABC Studios), but now there are emerging studios acting as a hybrid between traditional studio and production company, wearing many different hats in creating content that ends up on traditional broadcast, cable, and platforms. Come hear from both sides as these executives discuss the current state of how TV is ending up on your screens, and where it could end up next year.

Panelist: Marci Wiseman (Co-President of Television, Blumhouse), Ali Krug (VP of Television, Annapurna), Lauren Whitney (President of Television, Miramax), Pancho Mansfield (President of Global Scripted Programming, Television, eOne)
Moderator: Bryn Sandberg (The Hollywood Reporter)
