#1 | SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT INTERN

START DATE: ASAP
END DATE: December 11, 2019

As the SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT Intern, you will work with ATX Festival Staff to both assist in maintenance and brainstorming strategies for engagement and growth across platforms, and utilize video/podcast content to grow the ATX audience. On a weekly basis, you will perform a variety of tasks driven to grow the ATX brand and voice, including but not limited to promoting year round and festival events, increasing followers and audience, tracking video and podcast releases, and maintaining a regular posting schedule across major platforms.

Duties: 

  • Work with ATX Team to curate and maintain a weekly content calendar for publishing on all platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
  • Assist with weekly scheduling, posting, and metric tracking for ATX social accounts.
  • Assist with editing the digital ATX newsletter. 
  • Upload and draft content for the ATX YouTube channel and podcast feed. 
  • Review/quality check podcast and video content for editing notes. 
  • Help maintain and increase social media engagement with the ATX audience. 
  • Use the ATX social scheduling program to provide weekly analytics updates regarding audience growth and engagement strategy. 
  • Organize/maintain archival video, photo and audio content. 
  • Work with Production Intern to organize & maintain daily operations at ATX HQ.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Applicants must: 

  • Be currently enrolled as an UNDERGRADUATE student.
  • Be located in Austin for the duration of the internship. 
  • Have at least 12 hours available Mon. – Fri., plus evening / weekend flexibility for occasional year-round events.
  • Be able to provide your own transportation.
  • Have a strong interest in social media, and familiarity with basic posting features on all major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). 
  • Have basic knowledge of YouTube Studio. 
  • Have basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop).
  • Have an overall interest in / appreciation for television and engaging with the festival community!
  • Be willing to brainstorm, collaborate, and problem-solve with Team ATX and fellow interns! 

#2 | PRODUCTION INTERN

START DATE: ASAP
END DATE: December 11, 2019

As an ATX PRODUCTION Intern, you will work with our year-round team to support the operations side of our festival and year-round events, keep our HQ running efficiently, and assist with all arms of ATX production. This internship covers a wide and ever-changing range of duties – from programming research, to copy-editing, to physical production — and provides invaluable support to all areas of ATX. 

Duties: 

  • Provide general phone / email support for festival attendees, partners, and sponsors. 
  • Work with the Office Manager to organize & maintain daily operations at ATX HQ. 
  • Programming & vendor research. 
  • Communications & outreach with local brands / sponsors / vendors.
  • Contacting talent representatives / agents. 
  • Picking up / dropping off production materials, supplies, etc. 
  • Work with the Director of Operations to assist with prep and provide onsite logistical support for local events and year round programming (August – December).

Applicants must: 

  • Be currently enrolled as an UNDERGRADUATE student. 
  • Be located in Austin for the duration of the internship. 
  • Have at least 12 hours available Mon. – Fri., plus evening / weekend flexibility for occasional year-round events.
  • Be able to provide your own transportation.
  • Be highly detail oriented and enjoy long-term / self-managed projects. 
  • Have an overall interest in/appreciation for television and events!
  • Be willing to brainstorm, collaborate, and problem-solve with Team ATX and fellow interns!
