What: Watch Party, Book Launch, and Gossip Fest! in celebration of the launch of “A Very Special 90210 Book: 93 Absolutely Essential Episodes from TV’s Most Notorious Zip Code” by Tara Ariano and Sarah D. Bunting

When: Sunday, October 4th at 6 PM CT

Where: Hulu (or your platform of choice) and our official ATX YouTube channel

Details: Because Hulu watch parties are limited, we decided the best way to watch together is to have everyone play the episode on your own individual Hulu app (or platform of choice), simultaneously join in the chat on YouTube with ATX TV, Tara, and Sarah as we watch together!

  • At 6 PM, everyone participating will go to the ATX YouTube Channel and click on the “A Very Special 90210 Conversation” Premiere video. (Note: the video will say it premieres at 7 PM CT, but the chat will be active)
  • ATX, Tara, and Sarah will already be in that chat ready to watch with you and dissect the episode!
  • At 6:05 PM, we’ll instruct you to press play on your device/platform of choice (we’ll be on Hulu) to start watching Season 3, Episode 19, “Back In The High Life Again.”
  • During the episode, join the conversation with us in the YouTube chat! If you joined us for ATX TV…from the Couch! you know this is almost as good as gathering together in the bar to talk TV…only we’re on our own couches, in our pajamas, and we’re encouraging talking while watching (something we would never do in an Alamo!)
  • Then at 7 PM CT, we’ll premiere A Very Special 90210 Conversation with Tara and Sarah about their new book, moderated the amazing Linda Holmes, host of NPR’s Pop Culture Happy Hour!

ATX TV has partnered with AMC+ and AMC Networks to premiere the limited series, The Salisbury Poisonings, and host a conversation with cast and creatives on bringing real life events and communities to the screen on Thursday, October 1st at 7 PM CT on our official ATX YouTube Channel!

The screening will only be available on our channel during this time, but following the event the conversation will continue to be available to all viewers and all episodes will be available only on AMC+.

Moderated by NPR’s Eric Deggans, joined by Writers Adam Patterson and Declan Lawn, Director Saul Dibb, Actors MyAnna Buring (“Dawn Sturgess”) and Annabel Scholey (“Sarah Bailey”) and Tracy Daszkiewicz, Consultant and former Director of Public Health and Safety for Wiltshire, England, our exclusive conversation touches on each individual’s role in the series and how they approached the representation of real people and a real community tapping into universal tragedies and crisis.

The Salisbury Poisonings tells the remarkable story of how ordinary people and public services reacted to a crisis on their doorstep, displaying extraordinary heroism as their city became the focus of an unprecedented national emergency. In March 2018, the eyes of the world turned to the British city of Salisbury when it became the epicenter of what has been described as one of the biggest political events of the 21st century – but until now, the heroic acts behind the headlines have not been told. Within three days of the assassination attempt on double agent and spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia, key agencies discovered that a lethal nerve agent called Novichok was used, just half a teaspoon of which could kill 20,000 people. Within four days, hundreds of traces were found across the city, and, just when things were finally thought to be under control, a perfume bottle containing the nerve agent was discovered, throwing the investigation into renewed chaos.

Make sure to join us on October 1st and catch the rest of the series on AMC+!

ATX is hitting the road, and we’d love for you to join us! We’re partnering with our friends at YouTube Space LA to bring y’all a special panel conversation about The Female Gaze!

  • WHEN: Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 7:00 pm (Doors at 6:00 pm)
  • WHERE: YouTube Space LA
12422 Bluff Creek Dr.; Los Angeles, CA 90094

“The male gaze,” largely acknowledged as “the act of depicting women and the world from a masculine, heterosexual perspective that represents women as sexual objects,” has been the dominant viewpoint since the beginning of art and culture — but what happens when women become the subject instead of the object? This panel conversation will explore the “female gaze” with writers, directors, and actors who are reclaiming female agency by (figuratively and literally) shifting viewers’ perspectives, and telling stories that place women and their world view at the center.

Panelists include Krista Vernoff (Showrunner / Executive Producer, Grey’s Anatomy & Station 19), Gloria Calderon Kellett (Showrunner / Executive Producer / Director / Actor, One Day at a Time), Abigail Spencer (Actor, Reprisal), and additional folks announced at a later date.
