ANYTHING ELSE TO KNOW?
Yes! ATX’s official YouTube channel will provide an option for viewers to donate to fundraising efforts for Color Of Change, Direct Relief, and The Actors Fund.
ABOUT COLOR OF CHANGE
Color Of Change is the nation’s largest online racial justice organization. They help people respond effectively to injustice in the world around us. As a national online force driven by 1.7 million members, Color Of Change moves decision-makers in corporations and government to create a more human and less hostile world for Black people in America.
Color Of Change leads campaigns that build real power for Black communities. They challenge injustice, hold corporate and political leaders accountable, commission game-changing research on systems of inequality, and advance solutions for racial justice that can transform our world. More information is available here.
ABOUT DIRECT RELIEF
Direct Relief improves the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies – without regard to politics, religion, or ability to pay.
Direct Relief is working in overdrive to get protective gear and essential medical resources to as many health workers as possible, as quickly as possible, with emergency deliveries leaving daily for nurses and doctors across the U.S. and globally. Direct Relief has delivered millions of masks, gloves and other critically requested items to thousands of health facilities in more than 60 countries and all 50 United States. Direct Relief is also providing financial support to cover gaps and ensure continued services at primary care sites, and conducting analysis in collaboration with infectious disease experts and data scientists to inform public health efforts. More information is available here.
ABOUT THE ACTORS FUND
The Actors Fund is a national human services organization that fosters stability and resiliency and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan. Through offices in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, The Fund serves everyone in film, theater, television, music, opera, radio and dance with programs including social services and emergency financial assistance, health care and insurance counseling, housing, and secondary employment and training services.
Since March 18, 2020, The Actors Fund has provided more than $10.3 million in emergency financial assistance to over 8,729 people who work in performing arts and entertainment. With shutdowns on Broadway and in film and television, theater, concerts, dance, music and many other areas of entertainment, the need is great and growing. This emergency financial assistance is helping our most vulnerable and those in financial crisis with assistance for basic living expenses such as essential medications, to help prevent evictions, and to pay for food or utilities.
As the situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, The Actors Fund has temporarily transitioned to online and phone-based services, which remain available for everyone in the performing arts and entertainment community. These services include: Artists Health Insurance Resource Center,The Career Center,Housing Resources, Addiction & Recovery, HIV/AIDS and Senior Services, Counseling and Emergency Financial Assistance, as well as The Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. To make a tax-deductible donation to The Actors Fund, visit www.actorsfund.org.
Supported and coordinated by ATX Festival’s non-profit foundation, The Syndication Project.
WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS
While the virtual festival is completely free to view and virtually attend for all, ATX Television Festival is a small business that has almost entirely pivoted our business model in the past six weeks. Surviving and recovering from this pandemic while producing an online event is definitely tough, but we know it’s the right thing to do for our community, and we’re so excited to watch #TVTogether again.
If you are able and interested, we’d appreciate your support in any form. Whether that’s sharing “ATX TV…from the Couch” on your social channels, organizing a zoom watch party and inviting a few new TV Campers to join you, or financial contributions of any size (you can support us on Venmo at @ATX-TV-Festival) — any and all support makes a great deal of difference!
If you’re looking for information about ATX Season 10,
make sure to check out the details on Festival Badges & Wristbands and our How to ATX page.
