ATX TV Policies

Season 14 May 29-June 1, 2025 Austin, Texas

If you plan to attend the ATX TV Festival or any of our year-round events, please take a minute to review the following ATX TV Policies, as well as our Terms and Conditions.

If you have any questions, please check out our Festival FAQs or email TV@atxfestival.com.

The ATX TV works hard to make sure that all our panels, screenings, and events are accessible to all attendees. The more advance notice we have, the better we’re able to plan! Please email TV@atxfestival.com with any questions or accommodation requests.

All official festival venues where seating is provided will have ADA accessible seating for attendees who require said seating. A companion will also be able to utilize the ADA seating. Accessible seating for attendees and one companion is on a first-come first-served basis, and once an event starts, all unclaimed accessible seating will be made available to general admission. If you would like to utilize this seating or are unable to stand in line at the venue, please alert the Venue Manager when you arrive at an event or email TV@atxfestival.com as soon as possible.

Trained service animals of attendees with disabilities are welcome at the festival, in compliance with venue policies.

Check out Capitol Metro’s Accessibility Information (http://www.capmetro.org/accessibility/) regarding public transportation, and if you have a disabled hangtag or license plate, you don’t have to pay for City parking meters, and there is no time limit on the time zones for City maintained parking.

All seating at ATX TV Festival is first-come, first-served (no assigned seats). Attendees are not guaranteed a seat in any screening, panel, or event, as admission is only to venue capacity. Badgeholders with Fast Pass reservations MUST be in line no later than 20 minutes prior to the scheduled start time, according to the published Festival Guide, in order for Fast Pass to be valid.

Attendees will be let into screenings and panels in the following order:

  • Panelist and Sponsor Badges
  • Badges with Fast Pass reservations and ATX TV Guest Passes
  • Remaining Badges
  • Single Tickets (if available)

If there are seats remaining after all of the above have been seated, late arrivals will be allowed at the discretion of ATX TV Staff and Venue Managers – due to various circumstances, late seating may be deemed too distracting to audiences and panelists.

In addition, although we encourage sharing the festival with your loved ones, the nature of our small, intimate venues and content (some of which is not suitable for minors) requires us to make certain considerations.

You must be 18 years or older to purchase an ATX TV Festival Credential, as some content may not be suitable for anyone under the age of 18. Please note, some Festival events are only accessible to attendees 21 years or older.

Attendees between 12 and 17 years of age are allowed to attend ATX TV Festival, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times, and both must have official ATX TV Festival Credential for the event they would like to attend. Children under 12 years of age are not permitted to attend Festival Programming or Events.

The ATX TV Code of Conduct applies to all ATX TV Festival events, physical and virtual, all our physical venues, and anyone who engages with our social media channels or virtual events. All ATX TV participants, including but not limited to attendees, staff, panelists, press, vendors, and volunteers will be held to the same standards.

If you engage with anyone in a disrespectful or inappropriate manner, or do not adhere to our Code of Conduct, we reserve the right to immediately remove or ban you from any ATX TV Festival event or platform, without refund (if applicable).

We do not tolerate harassment of any kind, including but not limited to:

  • Intimidation / threats
  • Inappropriate disruption of events
  • Hurtful language
  • Physical assault of any kind
  • Inappropriate physical contact
  • Unwanted sexual attention
  • Unwanted photography or video recording
  • Bullying
  • Stalking

Especially in connection to:

  • Race or ethnicity
  • National origin
  • Gender identity or presentation
  • Sex or sexual orientation
  • Age
  • Disability, medical condition, or pregnancy
  • Religion
  • Citizenship status

So here’s the deal:

  • If you’re asked to stop any harassing behavior, stop it immediately.
  • If you experience or witness any form of harassment at a physical event, contact the nearest Staff member or Venue Manager to address the situation. To file a formal complaint regarding a physical or virtual event, email tv@atxfestival.com and provide detailed information about the situation and your contact info.
  • If at any time you feel unsafe in your immediate situation, alert a Staff member or Venue Manager, move to a safe location, and dial 911.

The Paramount and Stateside Theatres have a Clear Bag Policy to minimize contact that a bag search would require.

Clear bags should not exceed 14″ x 12″ x 6″ in size, and small, non-clear clutch bags will be allowed, and should not exceed 4.5” x 6.5” in size. In addition, the following personal items are NOT permitted: food or beverage of any kind, weapons of any shape or size (including firearms, explosives, pocket knives, etc.), cameras or recorders of any kind. Find out more here.

ATX TV will be filming / recording in all Festival spaces, including but not limited to all panels, post-screening Q&As, lines, gathering areas, and events. By using an ATX TV Credential, participating in the Festival, entering a Festival Venue, and/or attending an ATX TV Event, you are acknowledging and agreeing to being filmed by ATX TV / ATX TV Festival. You grant ATX TV all rights to any audio & visual recordings made of you and the use of your name, likeness, and performance in perpetuity in any and all media, including advertising and promotional uses, as well as for archival purposes, without approval from you. You hereby waive any claims against ATX TV / ATX TV Festival and its designees resulting from the use of recordings or other rights granted by you.

No personal filming / recording / streaming or flash photography of any panel, screening or Q&A is allowed at any time. If we see you recording, we will ask you to stop, and if you persist, we will ask you to leave. ATX TV reserves the right to confiscate any recording devices.

At ATX TV Festival, filming policies will be signed for, by you, at Registration.

From time to time, we offer flash sales, discounting ATX TV Credentials for a limited time. Flash sale offers cannot be combined with any other offer or discount code. As with any commercial transaction, there is always a chance that a purchased item will go on sale at some point in the future. Our Flash Sale Policy offers price protection in the form of a one-time, partial refund of the purchase price for those who purchased an ATX TV Credential(s) at full price ($535 for Camp Badges and $335 for GP Badges) within seventy-two (72) hours of the start of a flash sale. ATX TV Credentials purchased with coupons or previous promotional discounts are not eligible for price protection.

To obtain a price adjustment on a qualified purchase, you must email us at TV@atxfestival.com within the seventy-two (72) hour window of a flash sale start date. Please include your name, order number, and when you purchased your Credential in the body of your message. The Flash Sale Policy price protection is not applicable to merchandise, entry fees, or any ATX TV Credential Walk Up Price.

Flash sale price adjustments are not the same as returns, and the Flash Sale Policy does not supersede ATX TV’s Refund Policy. All sales are final. All events are rain or shine, unless otherwise noted. All panelists, programming, times, and locations are subject to change without notice. No refunds are issued due to a performer or attraction being removed from a festival lineup.

At ATX TV Events, all attendees should follow the CDC's recommended prevention actions, including basic health and hygiene practices, like hand washing, as well as staying up to date with COVID-19 vaccines.

Attendees are expected to stay home if you are sick, and anyone with any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 should get tested, regardless of vaccination status or prior infection. If you get tested because you have symptoms or were potentially exposed to the virus, you should stay away from others pending test results and follow the advice of your healthcare provider.

If you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 prior to the Festival, please contact tv@atxfestival.com regarding your ATX TV Festival Credentials and make plans to stay home.

We also want to acknowledge that while we all have a responsibility to our community, everyone has a different risk tolerance. Face masks are welcome at all ATX TV Events, and we would like to remind you to respect the decision of those who wear masks.

By purchasing your ATX TV Credential(s) you agree to:

  • Adhere to the Health & Safety policies set by ATX TV.
  • Failure to adhere to ATX TV policies will result in refusal to be admitted into any Festival events (including but not limited to screenings, panels, receptions, etc.)
  • No refunds will be given due to failure to adhere to ATX TV policies.
