ATX TELEVISION FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES 2013 PROGRAMMING INCLUDING FIRST EVER ‘BOY MEETS WORLD’ CAST REUNION AND WORLD PREMIERE SCREENINGS

Southwest Airlines Confirmed As Official Airline Of ATX Television Festival

Austin, TX-Thursday, March 28, 2013 – ATX Television Festival, the first festival devoted to television’s history and future, is pleased to announce the initial wave of programming, including world premieres for several new shows and season openers, as well as a highly anticipated first ever cast reunion of Boy Meets World. In addition, Southwest Airlines will be the official airline provider of the festival. The 2013 festival will take place June 6-9 in Austin, TX.

Joining creator Michael Jacobs (who will also feature past hits: Dinosaurs, Charles in Charge and My Two Dads) will be Ben Savage (Cory Matthews), Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter), Matt Lawrence (Jack Hunter), Maitland Ward (Rachel McGuire), and yet to be announced Special Guests that will not disappoint for the cast reunion.

The incredible outpouring of feeling for the original show, and anticipation for the new one makes us only want to work harder to create something that audiences old and new will appreciate,” said series creator Michael Jacobs.

ATX Television Festival is excited to welcome three new networks bringing premiere programming to the second annual festival. AMC will bring both a new series and a returning favorite, including the pilot episode for Low Winter Sun with several cast members including Lennie James (The Walking Dead, Hung), and executive producer Chris Mundy (Cold Case, Criminal Minds). In addition, the Emmy® Award nominated series Hell On Wheels will be at the festival to promote its upcoming third season. TNT will also participate in the festival for the first time with the world premiere of the first episode of season two of Perception, with cast members Rachael Leigh Cook and Scott Wolf and show creator Kenneth Biller, along with the first episode of season three of Falling Skies, with cast members in attendance. The third network making its first appearance at the ATX Television Festival is IFC with the first episode of season two of their popular talk show Comedy Bang!
