As an executive in the ‘90s, Wachtel helped develop zeitgeisty primetime hits Party of Five and Dawson’s Creek, before moving to USA Network to develop the ‘Blue Sky’ programming model, which propelled the network to the #1 spot in cable for more than a decade, and boasted hits like Suits, Monk, Burn Notice, Royal Pains, and more. From there, he went on to found UCP and serve as the president of the international television studio, where he spearheaded the efforts to create broad value for shows generated from international auspices, with successes including We Are Lady Parts and Transplant, among others.

Now, as CEO of Future Shack, Wachtel’s focus is developing, producing and co-financing shows for global audiences – and sharing more than 30 years worth of knowledge about the business of TV.
