The Festival will feature live script readings of classic episodes from The Golden Girls and Designing Women, with guest actors stepping into the iconic roles from both series for a one-time-only event. The readings will be followed by a conversation about the cultural impact of both series, including their significance as female-led comedies, and their boldness in tackling an array of social issues, including LGBTQ+ rights, HIV/AIDS, aging, sex education, divorce, and mental health.
